Professional | Dependable | Trustworthy Hi, I’m Stuart the owner and operator of Proper Job Handyman Services. I started my career making and fixing things at the age of 14 when I stripped and rebuilt my dad’s car engine while he was at work. My first proper job was working with my cousin building house extensions before I joined the Royal Navy to pursue a dream. I served as a Weapons Engineering Technician for 6 years, maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment, before joining Hampshire Police where I served for 26 years, retiring in May 2015. My time in the navy taught me the skills to provide an excellent service and instilled in me a sense of pride in my work. Throughout my time as a police officer I retained this sense of pride in my work and providing an excellent service along with a desire to help people. My engineering background and the skills I have learned over a lifetime of renovating homes and gardens made my decision to set up Proper Job Handyman Services an easy one.
